How Our Church Works
our mission statement

We are an inclusive & accepting community
of adults & children with diverse beliefs.
We strive to live by the principles & purposes
of the Unitarian Universalist Association.
We are dedicated to supporting our members
in their spiritual & ethical growth.
We are committed to advancing justice,
compassion & equity in the world.

Freedom of the Pulpit & Freedom of the Pew
These two freedoms are at the center of our understanding of how religion is created. We believe that each person has the capacity to have, in the words of Emerson, 'an original experience of the universe.' And so we desire to hear each person's voice in the quest for the truth.

We create opportunities for that to happen through our Summer Preaching by Parishioners as well as congregational participation in our Sunday Services. Our adult & youth religious education programs promote discussion and self-exploration.

Our church is led by the membership and governed through a democratically elected Board of Directors.
