Volunteer Opportunities // Call to all!
Are you a retired teacher or other professional? Do you have hobbies, interests or skills that you would like to share? Considering joining with members of the Economic Justice & Social Concerns Committee in volunteering to work with the children at Gateway-Longview -- our next-door neighbor & home for disadvantaged children.
All kinds of assistance are needed: mentoring, tutoring, skills sharing or just helping with school operations, reading, playing games, etc.
Our church volunteer activities are a part of our Social Concern/ Economic Justice Committee. If you would like to help, contact Anne Gayley. She can help arrange a meeting or discuss ways you might volunteer.

The Food Pantry at University Presbyterian Church needs volunteers on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:30-4:00.Work with 3 or 4 other volunteers filling grocery bags, checking out clients, or stocking shelves. You can work with a friend. For more information, call the church office.
Habitat for Humanity Buffalo is planning "WOMEN BUILD 2010". The home will be built in May through October 2010, and they have scheduled many events before ground breaking. If you want to help a Congolese family settle in their new home, then join us at our next meeting & e-mail

Dear Friends: As you are aware there was severe flooding in parts of Erie, Cattaraugus and Chautauqua Counties in WNY. Help is needed both in the short term and the long term.
While federal, state and counties are involved, along with national religious disaster response organizations, the Red Cross and other groups, there remains a need for volunteers. At the moment there are three specific contacts in three specific areas.
