The Debbie Waterhouse Ecology honors the memory of Rev. Waterhouse’s daughter who died in car accident while he was our minister. Located at the rear of the back parking lot, the Ecology Center has wooded trails, a clearing with a labyrinth, and a shelter. Invasive plants are being removed and our rain barrels are being set up. The Ecology Center integrated many aspects of the UU Amherst mission. It provides respite or sanctuary for individuals who need time with nature or spiritual healing.
