Juli Grey-Owens from Gender Equality New York will explore the underlying reasons for intense cultural and personal beliefs directed at those who do not conform to traditional gender norms.

As the Executive Director and founder of GENY, Juli works tirelessly to pass necessary legislation, provide opportunities for community members to connect, and to educate the public by organizing and delivering “Trans 101” sessions across the state. She has provided training for health care providers, government agencies, police departments, school personnel and camp directors.
