In March, we received a grant from the NYSCU to help in establishing a universal restroom in the administrative wing of our church. We have to do an asbestos abatement of the floor tiles, remove a toilet, add grab bars, remove a sink, replace a sink, improve lighting, add a mirror, enlarge the entrance and replace the door, move an electrical switch, paint…you get the picture. We are in the process of gathering estimates but our grant will cover only part of the cost. We will soon be asking for help in finishing this project.
