UU Amherst’s Committee on Leadership Development and Nominating promotes our culture of service and engages church members in ways that both deepen their experience and serve our mission. Our teams are stronger when procedures are well-documented and leaders mentor successors.

Throughout the year, the committee offers opportunities to explore church governance, work alongside church leaders and within teams, and develop leadership skills. In late winter/early spring, the committee conducts open recruitment for nominees to fill terms on the Board of Trustees, Endowment Trustees, Leadership Development and Nominating Committee.
