Community Volunteers Welcomed — call the UU Amherst office if interested.
Amherst Little Free Pantry Ltd. was founded by UU Amherst with assistance from Congregation Havurah. It was initially supported by Riefler Fund grants from the Network of Religious Communities in Buffalo. Subsequently, we have been grateful for grants from Muslim Public Affairs Council, Jolly Boys of Williamsville, Blue Cross/ Blue Shield, and Foundation for Jewish Philanthropies as well as food drives and donations from Lockport Peanut Butter & Jelly Project, Girls Scouts, St. John’s Lutheran Church, North Presbyterian Church, Congregation Shir Shalom, Unitarian Universalist Church of Buffalo, the Turkish Muslim community, Kindness Amplified, other community organizations, and individuals.
Most of all, we are thankful for our volunteers who inventory and stock the shelves daily.
