Participants
This Our Whole Lives program is designed for K-1st graders and addresses bodies and development with age appropriate lessons.
Leaders
Participants in Grades K‐1 are guided by two trained facilitators, one male and one female. In addition to a parent meeting and a parent‐child orientation, parents are welcome to attend workshops with their children. Homelinks keep parent‐child communication open.
Program Overview
- Education for Grades K-1 helps educate children about birth, babies, bodies, and families.
- In eight, one‐hour workshops, OWL models and teaches caring, compassion, respect, and justice.
- It helps young children identify their attitudes, values, and feelings about themselves, their sexuality, and others’ sexuality.
- You will be actively involved as your child learns through songs, stories, activities and at-home projects that promote family dialogue.
- Our Whole Lives is a secular curriculum, appropriate for many settings.
Sexuality and Our Faith: Grades K‐1 is a religious supplement which is incorporated in Unitarian Universalist and United Church of Christ congregations.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]For further information contact the Director of Religious Education
