When John Rex visited UU Amherst in 1977, he experienced Unitarian Universalism for the first time in his life. He became a member later that year and was an active UU in many ways until he entered Starr King School for the Ministry in 1991. He was ordained by UU Amherst on April 9, 1995, and went on to serve UU ministries in Virginia and Florida, as well as a ministry and travels representing the UUA in India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Now retired, he lives at Asbury Pointe in Getzville.
