At this busy and dark time of year, it is a challenge to find the perfect time to gather on Christmas Eve. Many of our elders don’t drive after dark, yet we look forward to the ambiance of a dark candlelit space as we sing “Silent Night.” Although some folks will still be doing last-minute shopping, or preparations for family or guests, or the many other things that demand our attention, our Christmas Eve service will be held in the late afternoon. There will be coffee, tea, and cocoa to go with whatever holiday goodies you might contribute to a time of fellowship and sweetness following the service.
